Launch

Three products taken 0 → 1: Airtel TV Africa, a streaming app that went on to reach all 14 of its markets; Reach Mobile, a US SIM service sold entirely online; and Nexter Finance, a prediction market with $19M+ in volume by January 2024.

Ship

Still hands-on, and turning it into leverage. Wealth 360 went from brief to Flutter-ready web and mobile with an estimated 70% less front-end effort, and became AIDA, a way of working now rolling out across design and product.

Building teams

At Nexter I led a visual designer, a motion designer and an intern I trained. At FYERS I took the team through two reorganisations as design moved into Product, from three verticals to seven, and ran the second round of two hiring drives. How I lead the team

One owner per problem

I’ve worked this way since Airtel TV Africa, where I was the only designer alongside 30+ engineers. At FYERS I argued for it as the team’s model, one owner from user need to shipped screen, and my title moved from UX Manager to Product Design Manager with it.

33 features shipped at FYERS since February 2024, each reviewed by its product manager and then by me. The habit goes back to Nexter and Reach Mobile, where I checked every built screen against the design and logged the gaps.

From my hands to the team’s

At Airtel TV Africa I turned the app into one component system every later feature was built from. At FYERS, Wealth 360 went to Flutter-ready code with an estimated 70% less front-end effort, and I turned that into AIDA, now rolling out to every product designer and PM.
